Born in 1947 in St Ann, Max Romeo recorded his first internationally successful single, "Wet Dream", with Bunny Lee in 1969. The albums War Inna Babylon (1976) and Reconstruction (1978) were released by Lee Perry.
After the worldwide success of his hits "Chase the Devil" and "War Inna Babylon", Max Romeo returns in 2004 with A Little Time For Jah. Recorded at Tuff Gong in Kingston and well served by Clive Hunt's solid production, the tracks have a clear and punchy sound, making this album one of Max Romeo's best in recent years.
Since then, Max Romeo has been performing regularly in Europe because, even if he prefers to go back to Jamaica to cultivate his land and take care of his family, he never tires of performing for the greatest pleasure of all!
