Born in 1907 from a modest family Adrienne Fornelli will anticipate, as a woman, the evolution of Western societies in the 20th century. She married an Italian tenor and went to pre-war Brazil, and there, it was the "big life", she rubbed shoulders with the bourgeoisie, refused proposals for the cinema ... Divorced, she returned to France well after the appalling conflict and settled permanently in his parents' house in Toulon. Childless, she will offer her affection to her grand niece, Jeanine, and later, to her great grand nephew, Emmanuel Cavan, to whom she tacitly entrusts her hundreds of photographs and thanks to whom we can today at Fort Napoleon show a few moments stolen on time. Time, this time that runs and that spins between our fingers like sand in the hands of kids on the beach. From the seaside, we recognize some of them, La Verne, Fabrégas and even Mar Vivo for the shores of Seyn. Consistency in each photograph: Adrienne Fornelli maintains a smile between assertiveness and discreet charm. Some images are enlarged to the extreme, deliberately offering a blur that further blurs the perception of this singular life. Adrienne Fornelli was brunette, her beautiful green eyes closed at the dawn of the 21st century.
