Although the artist has been practising weaving and tapestry for over sixty years, she has been applying these techniques to plants since 1978.
She is attached to all types of materials produced by nature, with a predilection for "poor" materials, those that are trodden on, such as twigs, humus or weeds. When she begins to work with them, she makes openwork fabrics with random shapes, free and fragile objects, and at the same time favours simple geometric shapes, such as squares, rectangles, triangles or spheres. She scans nature in order to better shape it, to transform it: she knots, braids, binds, intertwines and scallops. By combining texture, rhythm and colour, she makes nature the place and the material of her interventions.
