Description

The European Crafts Days are dedicated to the discovery of a sector remarkable for its diversity and vitality.
The craftsmen will present their creations and their trades.

Animations - Participative workshops :
Friday 1st April: Day dedicated to schoolchildren on the theme of Art and Craft. Various activities offered to students.
Saturday 2 April: From 9.30 am, inauguration with tour of the workshops.
3.30 pm, Criée aux Fleurs hall: haute couture fashion show with Mickelange Couture (workshop 10 rue Pierre et Marie Curie).
5pm, Jean Moulin room: conference by Nicolas Rizzo, sector expert in arts and crafts and living heritage on the theme "Faire Ensemble".
2-3 April: Take part in workshops offered by the Ollioulais arts and crafts sector: leatherwork, silk-screening, making handmade paper with vegetable fibres, initiations to scribing, printmaking, clay and plaster workshop.

Exhibitions - Free entrance:
Galerie de l'Olivier, 7 rue Gambetta : Mireille Toulon, leather worker, "Vol 707 : orfèvre du recyclage". Exhibition open until April 3rd.
Salle de La Criée aux Fleurs : Exhibition "Les ateliers, la main et l'âme gesticulent le savoir-faire". Exhibition of haute couture, sculptures, paintings with Mickelange IRITI, Béatrice Pothin-Gallard, Michele Ulmann.

Free guided tours:
Saturday 2 April :
10.30 am and 2.30 pm, Maison du Patrimoine: visit and lecture on the restoration of gypseries in the Maison du Patrimoine Métropolitain by Philippe Bertone, gypsier restorer of gypseries in the Maison du Patrimoine Métropolitain. Free admission, maximum 15 people per visit.
2.30 pm: free guided tour with Martin Grange, guide for the Intercommunal Tourist Office, who will take you on a discovery of the arts and crafts selected for the occasion (visual artist, chantourneur, plumassière, tapestry maker, ironworkers...). A visit combining heritage and know-how with art crafts.

"The Village of Ironworkers", place Jean Jaurès :
2 and 3 April: presentation of the vocational training "Ironwork" of the Lycée Langevin. Demonstrations by teachers Jason Galizzi, Philippe Castillo and their students.
La Ferronnerie du Jonquet", Christian and Richard Ingargolia, Jean-Marc and Valentin Villani, Romain Reze, Patrick Marest, professional ironworkers.
Provence soudage et Forge à induction Partner, Maréchal Ferrand Steve Koffi.
