Did we say that the Var was mountain bike heaven? It probably is… Go off and explore around a hundred kilometres of trails across the garrigue, the forests or the tracks on Porquerolles. On your bikes!

Pedalling on Porquerolles

How could we not invite you for a cycle ride on the most famous of the Hyères islands! Porquerolles. More than 70 kilometres of trails are waiting for you there. When you arrive on the island, you will find dozens of cycle rental offices (Mountain bikes, pedelecs, trekking bikes…) to enjoy some magnificent rides. Notre-Dame beach will be yours to enjoy!, Appreciate Le Langoustier or the superbe viewpoints along the beaches of the South. Smell the fragrances of the maquis, glide along under the wide allees of pine and eucalyptus : Porquerolles has to be visited on bike.

The track will take you directly to the silver beach, only a few minutes away from the landing stage.

Les Borrels, an ode to green

Les Borrels – cycling tracks for as far as you can see. The sports centre at the CRAPA (Rustic Open Air Centre) awaits you for some long bike rides. There can sometimes be quite a height difference and people who love downhill riding will be very happy. There is a 25 km loop, which mountain bikers know and love. This circuit is better for more advanced riders who are used to long periods of effort and long hill climbing on wide trails where you can speed up and use high gears.

Hundred year-old olive trees, lavender and provençal maquis: les Borrels is an ode to nature

La Maunière, for sports lovers

La Maunière has a prepared trail with 30 km of tracks are available. All along the pathways, colours indicate the difficulty of each section. If you love strong sensations, there is a rather steep slope. A lot of people make videos there which you can see on social media. Imagine you’re on the this mountain bike that seems to be hanging….
